The cake turned out pretty good. A little "drier" than I wanted, I wanted a very fluffy moist cake, which could be due to the fact that I misread a few steps, but the flavour was good.
The instructions were a little hard to follow. Step 1 says to mix all dry ingredients together, which I did. Step 2 says to cream butter and sugar ... isn't sugar a dry ingredient?
I did read the instructions ahead of time but was kind of on auto pilot and just read one step at a time when I was making it.
I also seperated all the eggs at the same time, so I just mixed 6 "portions" of egg white since I didn't have each egg.
You're never told to add the extracts ... so I added them at the end after the milk ...
I also used margerine instead of butter, which I just creamed on its own since I had added the sugar to the flour.
Not a bad recipe just needs the instructions revised a bit to be clear.
Some moist yellow or white cake w/ chocolate icing would hit
