The man is described as black, in his mid-30s, about 5-foot-10, with a muscular build and sideburns, Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio said. The suspect was wearing a brown Yankees baseball cap with a white logo, a brown jacket and was wearing tan Timberland boots, DeFazio added.

DeFazio provided new details on the incident in hopes that it could spur witnesses to come forward.
The attacker began to follow the victim at Virginia Avenue and Kennedy Boulevard, initially on the opposite side of the street, but then crossed over to the same side and tried to engage the woman in conversation, DeFazio said. The woman kept walking and at one point got on her cell phone before she was forced into the alleyway.
A passer-by apparently startled the attacker, who fled, DeFazio said, adding that the victim was treated at Christ Hospital and released.
