Dutch TV ratings for football matches are extraordinary. Of course, in most countries, the most watched TV program of the year is a match of the national football team, but hardly any country, except perhaps Croatia can match the Dutch figures.When Holland played Uruguay in the World Cup semi-final, then Spain in the finals, each game has attracted more than 12 million viewers, more than three-quarters of the population.
