Beach Ball fundraiser slated for May 24

Break out your cruise ware, your Hawaiian shirt, sun glasses and put on your flip flops and you’re all ready for the annual Beach Ball set for 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 24 at Atlantic City Country Club in Northfield. It will feature a sampling of food from the area’s finest restaurants, silent auction, and entertainment courtesy of Boardwalk Baby, and lots of fun.

Murder mystery dinner ‘The Art of Murder’ at the Eagle Theatre

The Second and Vine Street Players will present the hilarious murder mystery dinner “The Art of Murder” 7 p.m. May 21 and 2 p.m. May 22 at the Eagle Theatre, located at 208 Vine St. in Hammonton.

A fun, interactive and family-friendly performance, “The Art of Murder” is a murder mystery that plays out over the course of a catered three-course meal. The play centers on a valuable piece of art that is being held in the vault of an upscale Boston hotel. An eccentric Greek art dealer, a librarian, a famous actress and a literary scholar each want to get their hands on the artifact—and each is willing to go to extreme lengths in order to do so. It is up to a husband-and-wife detective team (and the audience) to figure out just who the murderer is in this hilarious thriller.

Tickets for this event are $30 general admission, and can be purchased online at www.TheEagleTheatre.com . The ticket includes the performance, dessert, beverages and dinner, which will be served in the theater. Seating capacity is limited, so buying tickets in advance is highly encouraged.
