ASCENSION CHURCH SERVICE

The North Bergen and area Church Clergy Alliance will hold an Ascension Service, Thursday, June 2 at 7:30 p.m. at Trinity Reformed Church, 401 60th St., West New York. Ascension Day is a national holiday in many countries. Christians of Hudson County will meet to consider that day Christ left his disciples in charge of earthly ministries. FLEA MARKET AT ST. ROCCO’S

The church, 4206 Kennedy Blvd., Union City, will be holding an indoor flea market on Sunday, June 5, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the parish social center, located on 42nd Street and Kennedy Boulevard in North Bergen. Admission is free. Venders needed. For information, call (201) 854-6507.

1ST ANNUAL SECAUCUS HOMETOWN STREET FAIR

The Secaucus Hometown Street Fair will be on June 10 at 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on June 11 from noon to 10 p.m. at the town center in Secaucus, 1285 Paterson Plank Road. The event is sponsored by Don’t Be Cruel, a local animal rights organization and is intended to build awareness about animal cruelty and raise money for local animal shelter rescues.

AUTHOR OF NEW VAMPIRE NOVEL VISITS SECAUCUS LIBRARY

Michael Griffe, the author of a new vampire novel, Unnatural, will chat it up with residents and fans on Thursday, June 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the Secaucus Public Library and Business Resource Center, located at 1379 Paterson Plank Rd. POKEMON VIDEO GAME NORTHEAST REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Pokemon Video Game Championships will be held on June 18 at Meadowlands Exposition Center, 355 Plaza Dr. in Secaucus. To participate, players must sign up during their division’s registration times. Junior and Senior Division sign up between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. while Senior Division players sign up between 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Players must show up with a copy of Pokemon Black or White Version, a Nintendo DS system, and a charger for the system. First Place winners in each division will receive round-trip airfare and hotel accommodations to attend the National Championships in Indianapolis on July 8 to 10. Teterboro Airport - Teterboro Airport, airport, travel ...

Teterboro Airport, or TEB, is located in the Borough of Teterboro, New Jersey. It takes up 827 acres, almost all the town of Teterboro. Teterboro Airport is only 12 miles from Manhattan, so it has become a popular airport to fly into for both private and business individuals. This airport is the oldest in the region, and is used mostly by corporate and private operators. It's important to find an inexpensive yet convenient place to stay when you are traveling. When you fly in and out of Teterboro Airport, you can choose to spend the night in many nearby hotels. The Holiday Inn Hasbrouck Heights is just 0.8 miles from Teterboro Airport. You will be just minutes away from The Meadowland and only 20 minutes from the thrills of New York City. Another hotel the same distance away is the Super 8 Motel, which offers quality rooms at a very reasonable price. You'll get the same convenient amenities, as you will be close to both the airport and the city, all the while enjoying a great rate. Getting to the Teterboro Airport is easy. If you are coming on the New Jersey Turnpike, you will take it to Exit 16W, which is the Meadowlands exit. Follow the signs for Route 3 West, and once on it, continue until you see signs for Route 17 North. Take the Route 17N right-hand exit. Go for five miles on Route 17 North, look for Franklin Avenue, and turn right onto Franklin. When you come to a stop sign, turn right and cross the upcoming railroad tracks. Continue on straight to the light, and then turn onto Industrial Avenue. The entrance to Teterboro Airport is the second gate on the left hand side, right at the Signature Flight Support Sign. If you are coming from the Lincoln Tunnel, you would exit the tunnel in New Jersey, and follow on until you see signs for Route 3 West.
